With Diversey, Serious VR designed and developed a VR training for conveyor belt operators towards optimal quality control.
Diversey is a provider of cleaning and hygiene products – serving customers a wide range of sectors. For one of Diversey’s filling lines, Serious VR designed and developed a VR training in which bottles need to be filled, checked and labeled. One mistake could have huge negative effects on the client’s cleaning process. This could lead to high costs, which Diversey wants to avoid. Therefore, this virtual training approach was developed and implemented.
The virtual training not only trains employees to operate the filling line the right way to avoid failure costs. It also creates awareness for the employees, so they are more aware of what effects their possible mistakes could have.
Serious VR is a true partner of Diversey from the initial business case development to the implementation of VR Training in the organization. Serious VR helps Diversey with an holistic approach from building the initial business case to the design, development and integration of VR Training in the production process.
With Apollo Tyres, Serious VR designed and developed a VR training for mould exchange operators. Apollo Tyres is a multinational company with offices and production locations across the globe.
One of their KPI’s in production optimization is designing best cases for production processes and implementing them in all locations across the globe. With VR training operators are trained more efficiently practicing complex actions before working at the real machine. In this way operators can change the mould more quickly and spend less training time in the factory. Which results in a lower machine downtime for all factories.
Instead of employees traveling to training locations, they’re able to train locally. In this way, Apollo Tyres saves time and money, while reducing failure costs at machines to a minimum. Employees are trained easier and more efficiently way before they start working in the factory.

Total Reality has realized a working prototype for Emsflower GmbH. Emsflower is a key player with far-reaching logistic processes in horticulture sector.
For delivery, remote stations drive the empty plant carts in trains fully automatically to the relevant locations in the process. Then the plants are placed in the carts and transported. This assembly process does not go smoothly in terms of efficiency, because the height of the planks is not always easy to determine. Employees must count the insertion holes and adjust the height for each customer. Our AR glasses visualize the instructions for the employees.
By visualizing this height in Augmented Reality, employees can easily install the shelves at the correct height. When the employee is done, the augmented reality glasses give the database a signal and the train automatically moves to the right place in the company.
Autoliv develops airbags and seatbelts for all leading car manufacturers worldwide. These products are tested in-house with crash test dummies. In order to perform proper crash tests, a car model must be exactly replicated. This takes a lot of time. The Hololens app we have developed accelerates this assembly process. Coordinates of parts are shown in the right positions, so mechanics can quickly place the right parts in the right position.
Autoliv is the world’s largest supplier of car safety devices. More than 65,000 employees in 27 countries are passionate about our vision: Saving More Lives. The company develops, manufactures and sells airbags, seatbelts and steering wheels. Its products are sold worldwide to all leading car manufacturers.
In order to do a good crash test, each car model must be exactly replicated. This makes it possible to test whether the airbags and seatbelts meet all safety standards. Each car brand and model are specific and differ in size and structure. The correct parts and x,y,z-positions of these parts for this specific car model are retrieved from a database. The data then is visualized on the exact positions by using a Hololens 2. As a result, mechanics know exactly where to place which part which saves a lot of time and costs.
Toyota wanted to reinforce the reliability of their cars. So they invited unsuspecting drivers to take part in a unique experience. Antiloop Studio in Barcelona worked with Toyota on this innovative VR experience. They used Xsens motion capture to create and interactive and intense VR story.
Normally within a virtual reality environment, the user does not have limbs, making the whole experience disjointed. By using full-body motion tracking an extra dimension was added to the experience, that allowed the users to play with the environment and move freely within the situation, increasing the emotional impact.

Jumbo, a heavy lifting, shipping, offshore transportation and installation contractor, has been developing groundbreaking solutions for ocean transportation for more than 50 years. Since 2003, Jumbo has been increasing their heavy lift capability and rapidly established a sound track record in the offshore subsea installation market.
SMST specializes in bridges that compensate for the motions of ships. These bridges allow passengers to safely walk from the ship to a wind turbine and back. Controllab provided a digital twin for this bridge to develop and test the motion control software. A VR representation of the bridge was made to show customers a realistic operation of the machine on their ships.
Benchmark is exploring the use of AR in our production. One of the strengths of AR is that it can instantly turn the untrained into experts – the training and guidance possibilities are limitless. AR technology is still evolving and relatively in its infancy, but the current state of technology offers plenty of learning possibilities already. To explore the strong points of AR and its benefits, we have built several experimental demonstrators: everybody is welcome to experience these at Benchmark Almelo.
For various customers such as Despray, Trioliet, Warsteiner and Micronit, Twinsense 360 the Total Reailty APP has been developed.
For DESPRAY Environmental, part of the innovative Osse Equipment Manufacturing Group, we have developed an Augmented Reality App with which they can present their new product in full size, always and everywhere. You can literally walk through it and view parts of the Despray interactively.

Total Reality has developed two apps for VodafoneZiggo. One app makes it easier for customers to scan & recognise their demarcation point at home. The second app is used by the mechanics to collect more data to improve the Machine Learning model and therefore the recognition of demarcation points.
